dadadaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa ill be living in Concepcion de Maria in the soooooooooooooooouth south south hottnesss of honduras-4 km from nicaragua! 1151 residents (including myself)!! Nov- Feb 85-105 degrees and in the rainy, humid season 68-90 degrees! yippie!
i´m about equally close to Managua, Nicaragua or San Salvador, El Salvador or Tegucigalpa, Honduras so look for the cheapest plane tickets from either city! come visit! soon! i´ll be living with the awesomest family the first 1-2 months or so until i find my own place. i´m the only whitey for an 1 and a half, but theres someone living in nicaragua 4 km away....i just have to meet them....pass the boarder illegally?
i´m going to be volunteering in the health center in my town until i get the language down pat....then from there....
i walked through Concepcion and all 2000 eyes were on my every move...what if i had a booger on my face? we passed out shoes to a neighboring town....i was sitting zoning in english right when they announced that the peace corps volunteer would like to make a speech.....news to me! they also announced my presences at the town kareoke....
i have a new address and i have a phone number of the house i´ll be living in starting the end of the month (right now more godforsaken training in santa lucia)- i´ll email it so i dont get rapped and murdered.
**number 1 spanish mess up of the month:
(my friend thought she was saying popcorn which is really similar to....)
My friend(to her whole honduran family): ¨do you like popcorn? i like popcorn except when it gets stuck in my teeth¨.
she was really saying a slang word for big penis.... BAAAAHHAHAHA!
p.s. my name has been changed to carolina (long i sound). i guess its easier to say?
p.p.s. we lost another one, that makes us down 3 in 2 months!
