you can take the man out of honduras but not the honduras out of the man

My new title is dedicated to a 60 something year old honduran man that I recently met. He has been living in the states for the past 10 years, has a gringa wife, and a son about my age. I randomly commented in his presence that I wanted to have a baby and he said with a old dieing fat pervery look on his face, ¨I can help with that.¨

Well things have been crazy since I´ve been back...less than a month? Wow the USA seems lifetimes ago! Love you guys, miss you!

Thanks to George W. Bush I am now in a group of 3 other volunteers writing a manual on how to teach Abstinence. He has recently put a lot of funding into its promotion. Excitingly enough, the new group of volunteers come Feb. 14th and we´ll help out in training the newbies on our manual.

People always ask me, ¨So what is it you do on an average day in Honduras?¨. Well....one day I thought I was going to go and help vaccinate old people and I found myself ontop of a mountain, with views of some lakes in El Salvador, singing with menonites all dressed in their garb, to our lord and savior Jesus H. Christ. There were even guys parts, girls parts, and harmony! Another day I thought I was going to go to a funeral of a school teacher that died in Tegus....ya know just to see what a Honduran one is like...I saw a pig get sloughtered and watched its skin and fat get peeled off instead.

Speaking of death. My one year anniversary is coming up! One year in country! We are all going to celebrate in Trujillo- a beachy town on the north coast, carribean sea-suckas. Those of you who know Left Eye from the music group TLC-this is where she got into her car accident and DIED!! eee!!! Dont worry I´ll take pictures!!
